DISTRICT CONVENTION 27 -29 March 2026
at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Lydiard Fields, Great Western Way, Swindon SN5 8UZ
Ensure YOUR club is represented and take part in this vital (and fun) annual event for our District. Bookings are now closed, but day visitors are of course very welcome. If you did not book lunch, there will be bar meals although there may be long delays - but there is always Greggs next door!
Note that voting delegates and alternates had to be registered beforehand with Lion John Goodchild, the CNRA, and will need to show their QR code on the day. Anyone not registered before the day will not be able to vote. Photo ID is not required.
Final reminders:
- Don't forget to visit the exhibitions area which will be very easy to spot.
- Come to the Sunday morning session, have a go on the Child Sight Cameras, and hear how we are using them to help improve the sight of young children around the District.
- Check the programme on the Convention website: https://2026.lions105sc.org.uk/programme.html
- Bring a copy with you to Convention, perhaps on your device – we will not be printing any, to reduce waste.
- For Friday night, dress in your most colourful party clothes, and bring your wellies (still no clues, just be prepared!) for some Africa-themed entertainment;
- On Saturday night we will have DJ Scott, and you can dance the night away – if you can manage after a three course meal!
Finally, remember to bring your items for recycling – spectacles, stamps, bras, foreign coins, non-perishable food;
and also bring old laptops (Windows 8 or later), for the Fleet Lions IT project – see Lion Graham Drayton at the ROAR stand in the exhibition area
